Beecher Place at Crescent Beach Surrey Wedding - Janet & Mohib

This wedding was filled with love, contagious laughter, and romance in every detail.

As I led Janet over to the oceanside pier that morning, I could hear the excitement in her words and see the pure joy in her eyes as we got closer to where the first look with the groom would take place. Mohib looked out over the sea as his bride walked up the pier to wrap her arms around him. Janet told me that she often comes up to hug him like this, but you could see in their matching smiles that they knew the magic of this particular embrace in the rain: the beginning of their wedding weekend. Janet and Mohib showed a tender and true love for each other throughout the celebration, I enjoyed capturing their happy giggling in the car on their way to the venue. Their laughter and sense of content they shared made photographing this wedding truly joyful.

As guests arrived to Beecher Place at Crescent Beach for the wedding luncheon, warmth and support filled the room instantaneously. Friends and family had come from as far as Europe to witness and celebrate with Janet and Mohib on their special day. Countless hugs, and familiar embraces surrounded the bride and groom until it was time for the Tea Ceremony. Janet wore bangles and beautifully detailed henna upon her hands as a tribute to Mohib’s Pakistani family, as well as a beautiful mandarin collar on her dress, traditionally worn for the Chinese Tea Ceremony. Janet’s blush pink gown was complete with intricate lace detail, and sparkling sequins that shimmered in the light. Complimenting his bride, Mohib wore a traditional off white and gold detailed Sherwani with a dapper pink pocket square.

The Tea Ceremony was performed as the bride and groom offered tea to their elders as a traditional thank you for their love and support, symbolizing the union of the two families. Later in the afternoon, Janet proudly wore a red veil with the words “Mohib’s Bride” embroidered in Urdu. The group shot captured two families, and two cultures, joining as one! As if on cue, the sun came out just in time for breathtaking ocean-view shots of everyone enjoying the day. The day concluded fittingly with a romantic beach walk for the bride and groom, who looked at each other with love and devotion by the sea, as if no one was watching. It is this kind of love that photography yearns for: the smiles that gleam, the laughter that fills a room, and the enduring love that is so easily recognized in the eyes of Janet and Mohib.
