Luxury Pakistani wedding at Fairmont Hotels in Vancouver - Arooba & Ibrahim

Arooba and Ibrahim’s wedding was an exquisite celebration, marked by attention to every detail from the opulent venue to the elegant decor. Every aspect, from the couture bridal gown to the gourmet cuisine, reflects sophistication and timeless beauty. The seamless service, personalized touches, and unforgettable moments elevate the experience, making it a truly lavish affair. I must mention, Arooba herself and her choices for the wedding were classy.

Mayon / Haldi ceremony:

As a photographer, capturing the essence of cultural celebrations is something I hold dear to my heart. My experience photographing Arooba’s mayon ceremony in a huge backyard was nothing short of magical. The combination of tradition, family, and vibrant colors provided the perfect canvas for me to document the beauty of a pre-wedding ritual that is as deeply meaningful as it is joyous.

Mehndi ceremony:

The Mehndi venue and ambience was nothing short of breathtaking, with grand floral arrangements, crystal colourful backdrops by Moonlight wedding decor and matching floor wrap by Westend Floor Wraps, along with delicate lighting that created an enchanting atmosphere at Aria Convention Center. The groom side entrance announced their entrance with a bang having cricket bats raised in hands as Cricket is Pakistanis’ favourite sport; so to Ibrahim and his family.

Traditional mehndi ceremony rituals were performed to greet and bless the beautiful couple. I have rarely seen so much involvement and participation by family and friends in such celebration, hour & a half long traditional dance performances by family and friends of both sides.

Nikah ceremony:

A Nikah ceremony is a deeply meaningful and sacred event in Islamic tradition, symbolizing the union of two individuals in marriage. It is a beautiful and intimate celebration, often held with close family and friends. The ceremony typically begins with the recitation of verses from the Qur’an, followed by the offering of vows by both the bride and groom, expressing their commitment to each other under the guidance of an officiant, usually an Imam.

Arooba and Ibrahim’s nikah was simple yet sophisticated with all attendees in off-white dresses the bride however stood out in beautiful red outfit with golden embroidery and traditional jewellery; I was able to capture some really emotional family moments at the end of Nikah ceremony.

Wedding Day:

Arooba and Ibrahim’s wedding was not just an event—it was an unforgettable masterpiece of elegance, romance, and grandeur. The grand ballroom at Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in downtown Vancouver made it epic. From getting-ready to solo portraits to couple’s first look the elegance and romance was abundant.

To-date we receive inquiries on social media about Arooba’s elegant bridal gold dress designed by Lahore Pakistan based Nomi Ansari. Ibrahim’s outfit was no less of attention designed by Mohsin Naveed Ranjha another Pakistani dress designer. Her exquisite hand-made jewellery came from UK based designer Jewels by Naz. Beautiful traditional stage backdrop came from Moonlight Wedding Decor. Bridal makeup was from Farah Hasan.

There were again some emotional family moments during speeches from Arooba’s friends and family. Reception ended ‘Rukhsati’ . Rukhsati (or departure) is a tradition in South Asian weddings at the end of night where Bride’s family farewell with blessings for the couple starting new chapter in life together. It also ended with emotional moments between Arooba and family.
